"The Vizsla will fill your heart and challenge your mind"  Welcome to the website of Gunfield Hungarian Vizslas. Gunfield is our kennel name and we are Mr. Andrew and Mrs. Kate Olsson of Suttonbonington Leicestershire. We  are very experianced dog owners and handlers, Kate is a qualified canine psychologist  and  both  of us have lived alongside dogs all our lives.  Since 1999 we have owned the wonderful Hungarian Vizsla breed. We are not a large kennel we consist of a family home and ten Hungarian Vizslas who are either born and bred by ourselves or Imported from some of the top Kennels in the world. Our family has a great interest in countryside pursuits and our Vizslas are an integral part of this, Our Vizslas are to be found out on three different shooting syndicates during the season where they pick up or work on the beating line, In addition to this Andrew and our boys regularly rough shoot over our Hungarian Vizslas. please click here to view a slide show of the dogs at work     We take our responsibilities as a breeders very seriously, we are proud to be members of the Kennel club accredited breeders scheme and since 1999 we have bred with the aim of producing sound natured, healthy dogs who possess the natural instincts needed to become a good gundog while maintaining the superb temperament that makes them such a wonderful companion.  One of things we have done differently from most is we have imported seven Hungarian Vizslas from some of the top bloodlines available in Europe, Australia and the USA  to give diversity to our bloodlines and keep  the inbreeding co efficient to an absolute minimum. We are pleased to be able to offer five superb Hungarian Vizsla stud dogs at stud to suitable health tested bitches and correctly bred and reared Vizsla puppies to vetted homes. You will find Vizslas of our breeding in Show, work and pet homes all over the UK and as far a field as Hungary, France, Denmark, Germany, New Zealand and Bermuda. We are happy to give breed advice to those considering this breed for the first time and we offer on going experienced support to those who own a Gunfield Vizsla.
