YOUR COMMENTS ~ Kate and Andrew were the first breeders we spoke to about the Vizsla breed and we had no need to look any further. We visited the parents to see what we were letting ourselves in for and from that point we knew that the Vizsla was the dog for us! Kate was always on-hand to offer advice before collecting Hendrix (we were also lucky enough to get pick of the dogs) and has been more than happy to help us during the 3 years since Hendrix joined our family. Hendrix is a fantastic dog - loving, happy and always full of beans - and we would definitely go back to Kate and Andrew to purchase another Vizsla. |

YOUR COMMENTS ~ We retrieved Orson (Gunfield Aramis) from the BA flight in April 2004 and, apart from being somewhat confused by all the travelling he had done that day, he was in great shape. Kate was very diligent and patient in working her way through all the necessary paperwork (not to mention last minute changes), which allowed us to happily receive our new puppy in a pretty much seamless transition. Knowing that we have cats in our house, Kate very kindly assumed responsibility for Orson's initial socialisation with other animals - this was a big help! She was available by phone and email, also, as we dealt with a breed that was new to us. Orson has developed into a great companion and watch dog (not so great at guarding as he is so friendly!). He is healthy, energetic and intelligent. We are definitely looking forward to our next Gunfield Vizsla from Kate!

YOUR COMMENTS ~ Kate and Andrew were absolutely fantastic when helping me decide if a Vizsla was the right dog for me. I was able to visit the breed before i put my name down and could ask lots of questions. As soon as i saw them i fell in love. The website was always updated on the progress of our puppies and it was wonderful to see the journey in pictures. When i collected her she was accompanied by everything you would need. She had already had her first injection and had been micro chipped. She was (and still is) a very happy and confident puppy which was all thanks to Kate and Andrew for socialising her so well with their family. They have given me so much help and advice and it is so reassuring that i can still contact them at any time. |

YOUR COMMENTS ~From the outset when we started our research, Kate has been fantastic. As well as answering numerous minor queries without complaint, Kate has always been extremely honest in her answers which we have really appreciated. This support has been on-going, even 18 months later. Kate is genuinely interested to know what the progeny are up to and how they are doing and she is always delighted to enjoy their success and happy to advise on their occasional shortcomings!
The puppy pack we received with Kimba was invaluable and Kimba herself is an absolute delight. She is in great health and an absolute character. She is full of life, love and affection, she has no preferences, she’ll adore anyone willing to glance in her direction! She passed all of her KC good citizen exams at a young age and goes gundog training regularly. Apparently she has fantastic gundog potential due to her eagerness to please, her fantastic nose and her physical stamina. This is all going to be put to the test this season which is very exciting!
We would highly recommend a Gunfield puppy to anyone who is willing to listen to advice and is sure that a Vizsla is right for them.

Kate has always been available for help and advice over the phone and by email. Archie has been an absolute joy and continues to give us pleasure every day.

YOUR COMMENTS ~Charlie is a total delight – the dog I’ve waited my whole life for. He’s an angel. Very easy to train, and with a fantastic temperament. He’s had a few health scares – mainly due to eating half a tennis ball as a youngster (!). Throughout Kate has always been there to answer questions and offer support. He’s about to celebrate his third birthday and I hope we have many, many more. Words can’t describe how special he is to us.
What with the known hereditary health issues in the Vizsla breed I would always return to Kate as she takes such a close look at her lines and constantly monitors for health problems. This open-mindedness makes her a great example for others.

COMMENTS – We have two dogs from Kate and Andrew at Gunfield, that have given us nothing but pleasure from the moment they were born. Kate does a marvellous job via this website in keep all perspective owners fully informed on the puppies progress and also the anticipation levels of new owners high, which is all part of the fun of bringing your new dog home for the first time. The process in collecting both puppies was well structured, fully informative and gave us total reassurance
Both Benson and Wellington have turned out to be well balanced dogs, each with their own unique personalities but we have had no problems with either since they arrived with us. We believe that this is due to the care, dedication and thought that Kate puts into the Gunfield breeding programme and the pedigree for each of our dogs. Both dogs have not had any health problems since we got them and on the odd occasion we have needed advice, Kate is at the end of the telephone to deliver good, honest and practical advice even over two years on from Benson arriving with us.
We would recommend Kate, Andrew and the Gunfield kennel to anyone who is considering buying one of this unique breed of dogs. As a breed they are not the easiest dogs to deal with due to their high energy levels but with some efforts, the rewards far outweigh the effort. We have two healthy, very intelligent, loving dogs that make tremendous pets and to use the Carlsberg analogy with Gunfield we have…………”.probably the finest kennel in the world”
